eMondrian Documentation

eMondrian is an open-source semantic layer built on the Mondrian OLAP engine. Define your business model once — cubes, dimensions, hierarchies and measures — on top of ClickHouse or any JDBC database, and query it from:

• Excel — PivotTables over XMLA / MDX (free, open source)
• Power BI — live connection over XMLA / DAX (DAX module)
• AI agents — Claude and other MCP clients over MCP (MCP module)
